Leave your legacy at Little River Canyon | Arts & Culture
The staff at Little River Canyon National Preserve wants to hear your family’s recollections about the park for an archival project.
History Day at the preserve will be Sunday, August 25 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Little River Canyon Center. Visitors are asked to bring photos, articles and stories to tell about the park. The staff is interested in learning how the park was used by your family. What was the park like before it was a park? What was life like for your family?
The staff will digitally record documents, photos and personal recollections, to be preserved and shared with future visitors and researchers with permission.
Preserve staff would like to assure contributors that photos, documents and memorabilia will be returned immediately. The park will make and then keep digital copies onsite.
For more information, or to schedule an appointment with archivists, call (256) 845-9605.
