Find out more about the fish of Little River | Community Spirit
Park Ranger Larry Beane will present the free “Fish of Little River” program on September 6.
The program will be held at the DeSoto State Park improved campground at the James L. Wynn Campfire Ring and will start at 8 p.m. Everyone should bring comfortable camp chairs or blankets, since seating is limited.
Ranger Beane will talk about why so many visitors fish at Little River and ways to fish sustainably. Fishing is a big part of the Cherokee County economy, and Little River has forty-seven species of fish, including the blue shiner, a threatened species.
