DeKalb man charged with sexually abusing child | Crime

Ft. Payne, AL (WAFF) - A man from Geraldine is being held in the DeKalb County Jail without bond, accused of sexually abusing a young child.

18 year old Kristopher Lyle Greenwood was arrested by law enforcement Tuesday night. The Geraldine Police Department is crediting with starting the investigation, along with the state Department of Human Resources.

"I'm glad we could get this person so quickly." said Sheriff Jimmy Harris. "I hope this family can move on and get any help for this child available. Our investigators, DHR, CAC, and the District Attorney all work great together. This quick result is evidence that teamwork is effective."
