Karri Willoughby sent to prison after pleading guilty to murder | Crime
Two days after pleading guilty to murder, a DeKalb County woman heads to state prison.
Karri Willoughby left the DeKalb County Jail Friday morning on her way to Tutwiler Prison in Elmore County where she will serve out her 20 year sentence.
Willoughby pleaded to a lesser charge of murder Wednesday for the 2008 death of her stepfather, Billy Shaw, Jr.
Prosecutors contend she administered a lethal injection to Shaw for inheritance money.
