Woman charged with public intoxication, driving stolen vehicle | Crime

A woman was arrested Tuesday in Section and charged with public intoxication and driving a stolen vehicle.

Section Police reported that they responded to the Section Family Dollar regarding a woman who appeared intoxicated.

The officer spoke to 40-year-old Jodie Sipe and determined she was under the influence. She also told the officer she was driving her brother’s vehicle.

However, officers determined the vehicle had been taken earlier that day from the DeKalb Regional Medical Center.

Sipe was arrested and charged with public intoxication and receiving stolen property. Her bond was set at $3,000.

The vehicle was returned to the owner.
