Two shops in Fyffe burglarized overnight | Crime

Fyffe, AL (WAFF) - A pair of late night break-ins has Fyffe Police and DeKalb Counties deputies working to find a thief.

It happened around midnight Wednesday. Officers were called to check out an alarm at the Kountry Korner Store on Highway 75 just north of town. They soon discovered someone smashed the front window of the store with a metal tool, which was left behind at the scene. As they began to take a closer look, a second alarm came in from the Fyffe Pharmacy, just down the road. Within 5 minutes, officers arrived at the scene to see a large window destroyed, with flesh and blood left behind. Several prescription medications were missing from the pharmacy.

The blood has been sent to the state forensics lab for testing. Investigators are hopeful that will lead them to the person responsible.
