Two busted in stolen car | Crime
Crossville, AL (WAFF) - Crossville Police officers and DeKalb County deputies got a two-for-one over the weekend, picking up a pair of suspects for two different crimes.
An officer was doing a routine traffic stop when he discovered the car was stolen. When DeKalb County deputies arrived to assist, they soon found drugs and drug paraphernalia inside.
36 year old Marty Smith of Albertville and 46 year old Cathy Perry of Dawson were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs. Both were taken to the DeKalb County Detention Center where they await bonds.
Crossville Chief Chris West and Sheriff Harris commend both officers on the good job in recognizing the stolen vehicle and finding the drugs on the occupants.
