Photo Gallery | Three arrested in Ider meth raid

Ider Police officers discovered more than they bargained for while trying to serve a warrant a home on Woodland Drive.

When they opened the door, they detected the smell of meth in the air. They called in reinforcements from the DeKalb County Drug Task Force, who executed a search warrant and found a large one-pot meth lab and some finished product.

46 year old Thomas Hart, 46 year old Carol Bolton and 22 year old Ashley Burton were taken into custody at the scene. They're all being held in the DeKalb County Jail, awaiting bond.

Hart is charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a traffic warrant. Bolton and Burton are charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sheriff Harris states "We have dealt with this individual for a long time. He will probably see the inside of jail for some time after this arrest. Chief Watkins is a great help to us in Northern DeKalb County. He and his officers are in constant contact with our Drug Task Force agents and investigators as we try to address the theft and drug problem in that area."
